The night of sleep!

Some stayed awake, some slept

Yesterday we all got up, were like Zombies all day, and then went back to bed. This is a very badly organised way of doing things - so last night we tried another way.

I would sleep in the sitting room, in the pull out double bed, while Doina and Irina would spend the night feeding, walking and changing the baby... the idea being that the following day, I would be full of energy, and ready to look after Victor, while they slept.

I did my part wonderfully. I only got up once when I heard nocturnal screamings, and was quickly told to go to bed and be fresh for the morning!

This I did and so was fresh as a daisy. Irina however found it very hard not to also spend the day awake, grabbing a sleep here and there... most of it watching Victor sleep.

I will try this approach again tonight, as it really does make fathering fun! I can't see them falling for this ruse for too long, so I will make hay while the sun shines.
