Map of Romania

Are you looking for a Map of Romania? The CIA provide a wide range of different public domain maps. I have reproduced those of Romania for you.

Physical Map of Romania

Romania is based in Eastern Europe and is the only country in the area to have a latin language. As you can see from the map, all the countries around it have a Slavic language.

The other curious fact about Romania is that it has apparently never attacked another country - it has only defended its borders. This have changed and fluxed over time as countries invaded and retreated.

Physical map of Romania

This Romanian map shows you where you can find the mountains, the seas and rivers of Romania.

Area of Romania compared to an American state

This map shows you the size of Romania against the size of a few American states. As you can see Romania is a very small country compared to the superpowers.

Economy of Romania

This map show you where the different areas of economy are. As you can see, Romania has a heavy - industry based, such as mining. The country is rich in a wide range of different materials, which explains why in the past it was frequently invaded.

Land use in Romania

This is one of the most interesting of the Romanian maps, as it shows how the land is used - in theory. You can clearly see how the land use and geography match each other.

During the communist era, up until 1987, Romania was exporting its food to pay off its national debt. At the time of the Revolution, it was in the black. If you now take the time to drive around Romania, especially on the plain, near Bucharest, the crops are gone, and it is a scrub land, with 'land for sale' signs all along the major highways.

Land use in Romania

This map of Romania show the population densities. This map shows that most of the population live in the cities. It is a truly sad point of fact, as more and more people leave the countryside villages and search for a better life in Bucharest.

My big ambition one day is to earn enough, and so I can leave the big cities and return to a more quiet and peaceful existence in the country side.

Http://www.bucharest-map.com are a great place to go if you are looking for maps about Bucharest and need directions. It is important in Bucharest to print out the maps and take them with you, as it is very easy to get lost in this city - street signs and street directions are few and far between though it must be added, they are getting better!
