Cheap Bucharest Flights - The Gateway to Romania
Are you looking for
cheap Bucharest flights
? I really do recommend you check out out flight database, and see which flight to Bucharest suits you. As you can see, when you take
trips to Romania
, the prices are very reasonable!
I would like to discuss my experiences with a range of different aircraft companies such as
Tarom Romanian airlines
, which have taken me from Bucharest using cheap Bucharest flights to different places around Europe. I think you will be surprised as to what is my favourite 'low cost' airline!
If you are worried about the
Romanian visa
requirements, then don't be. Romania allows any EU national to come and stay for 3 months without a Visa. I love the French system, where after 3 months, they then kindly fly home, and pay some of my Romanian citizen friends to return home - sadly the Romanian government has yet to offer this service to other foreigners.
The State-run, business class airlines and the higher quality airlines often fly directly to Otopeni, while the budget flights fly to and from the smaller, nearer airport in Banasea. Ironically, the smaller airport is also much easier to get to.
If you do catch a bus out of either airport, make sure you have clicked your ticket in the machine, as the bus inspectors make a bee-line for foreigners, as these are the people with money, and are most likely to pay up without a fuss.
Also being fined before you even get to Bucharest is a bit of a downer (100 Ron fine - unless you have 50 Ron on you).
I always use Skyscanner for all my travel arrangements. They are really great. They search out all the best deals and connect different budget airlines offers together.
I use to spend a long time searching each website, and trying to find the best offers home. Now I just sit and I let skyscanner do it for me.
I would also highly recommend not travelling by the coach or the train to get here, as it takes far longer than by flying here, and also you will find it actually costs a lot more than to fly.
I have also included a map of how to get to Bucharest from anywhere in the world. If you choose where you are flying from, then click on the bottom red button on the right hand side to find your flight.
Before you arrive to Romania, be sure you have read my do's and don't of using
airports in Romania
!
After reading this, also please take the time to explore the really amazing
Romania.org
- You will learn useful places to visit. You will find that by heading north, after having bought cheap Bucharest flights, towards the villages of Brasov area you will find friendly people, proud of their customs and folklore with a timeless rural way of life. Then cruise through the myriad channels of the Danube Delta, one of the world's greatest wildlife sanctuaries.
Another really wonderful site I came across was
Green Mountain Holidays
. This website is packed full of great ideas of places to see and what to do in Romania. I know I have personally bookmarked them for when my friends next come with cheap Bucharest flights! Their site is full of the most stunning photos you are likely to see... the weird thing being that you look at the pictures and think ' these can't be real' and then you come to Romania, and have your breath taken completely away by the real scenery.
Another interesting site to check out is RomaniaQuest -the definitive guide to Romania. The site is packed full of great places to visit and things to do.
