Sphinx and Babele - One of seven natural wonders of Romania.

Welcome to information on the Sphinx and Babele. These rock formations are found near The Babele challey. They are accessible either by cable car from Buşteni or by road. The rock formations can also be reached by foot, coming from Buşteni through Valea Jepilor (Juniper Valley), or from the crest of Bucegi Mountains, from the Piatra Arsă challey.

Babele (meaning old women) is a name for an area on the Bucegi Mountains plateau in Romania.

These rocks are in a really stunning part of Romania. They are between the towns of Sinaia and Predeal. I would personally not recommend walking up to them, due to the large number of bears in the area.
