Romanian flowers in Summer - Makes even a botanists heart flutter!

Romanian flowers feature in lots of Romanian natural therapies. Sadly many of these are dying out along with the old folk in the villages.

A good friend from Scotland, who is well known for her travels to find the most beautiful and rarest of plants around the world, including South America, The Dolomites in Italy and Mongolia, to name but a few, was stunned by the variety and diversity of what she saw in a Romanian field near my home. She could have spent a whole day is this small patch of land. Come and share some of her discoveries!

I love Romanian flowers. They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes - and when my friend, a botanist from Scotland came, she told me I had a treasure trove under my nose! She was happy to spend a day just looking and naming the endless variations of flowers on offer to her.

The reason is that there is far less herbicides being sprayed here, and some of the small fields are impossible to visit or farm using a large sprayer and tractor.
