Piatra Craiului Mountains

I really love this mountain range. As I am driving along in Arges or when I visit Brasov county, I am always reminded I am looking at a great mountain range.

I have yet to climb this mountain range, as there are a few things stopping me.

Whenever I look up, I see how quickly the weather at the top is changing. Sometimes it can go from sun to dark cloud in a matter of moments.

I have heard that the walk along the top of this ridge is very narrow, where you need to hold onto chains for support, with huge drops on either side. This of course makes me even more nervous of walking up there - even if the weather was not so unpredictable.

On top of that, there is now the issue of the bears. For some reason, the number of bears in the area has steadily climbed over the last few years, I have seen 2 this year from the road! I really don't want to wander any closer to them, as a few people get killed and eaten by them every year.
